Thank-you for your welcome message and words of wisdom. I read the spoon theory and it really resonated with me. These last few weeks have been a really eye opening since I started to use the symptom tracker template and measuring my resting heart rate in the morning.
I am starting to understand that energy for me is a valuable commodity and that I need to learn to pace myself when its there and have allot more respect for the outcome of the decisions make throughout the day. Old habits die hard as they say.
Avoiding PEM is the ultimate goal. My PEM are predominantly from physical activity and there is always a 48 hour delay with symptoms. I believe I know my Physical thresholds at the moment, the tricky ones for me are the cognitive and emotional stressors which for me are a little harder to gauge in terms of how much they contribute to PEM. The great thing with the symptom tracker is that i can look back and see what was going on to cause elevated resting heart rate.
